Our mission: To balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of canines in the Central Texas area by providing nourishment and a safe environment for unwanted, stray, abused, and impounded Boxers. Once placed in new homes they become more than just pets, they become family.

Would you like to honor a friend or cherished pet? Are you tired of seeing too many dogs named Rocky, Tyson, Roxy, or Bella on our Adoption Page? You can help Austin Boxer Rescue pay its medical bills by naming one of our future dogs!

“Name a Boxer” Program Details

The minimum donation is $50.00
Many of the Boxers we rescue keep their “Rescue Name” for life – please keep this in mind when submitting a name (demeaning or vulgar names will be denied).
We will use names in the order they are submitted. Please note that the name you submit will be given to a yet-to-be-rescued dog; no current ABR dogs will be renamed. It may take several weeks to assign a name depending on ABR’s ability to intake dogs at any given time.
Unless you request otherwise, your name will be listed on the Bio Page of the dog you name. If your name is in honor of a friend or pet, we will note that as well.

Our next AUSTIN ADOPTION DAY will be Saturday February 4, 2012 at TA Brown Elementary: 505 W. Anderson Lane from 10 am to 12 pm. We can be found on the Southwest corner of the park, at the intersection of Guadalupe St and Northway Dr. - rain or shine

Our next SAN ANTONIO ADOPTION DAY will be February 11, 2012 at Petco DeZavala & Vance Jackson 12651 Vance Jackson Road San Antonio, TX 78230 from 2pm-5pm.

FOSTERS NEEDED
We need volunteers to help visit foster dogs until we can place them in their forever homes. Without fosters we can not accept dogs into our rescue. Please fill out our FOSTER APPLICATION if you are interested.
