AUSTIN BOXER RESCUE- WHAT'S NEWOur First Annual Silent Auction Fundraising Event atWAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!Thank you to everyone that came out, our donators, and our sponsor. FEATURED DOGSAll of our other dogs available for adoption, can be viewed on our Adoption Page Jazz Jazzis a 2-year-old brindle boxer mix. He was rescued from a shelter in San Antonio, with Herman, where he too was scheduled for euthanasia. This handsome boy has a gorgeous face and his crystal blue eye is enchanting. It's amazing how well Jazz gets along with other dogs. He shares his food with other dogs, loves to play with them, and gets along well with everyone both male and female. Jazz is one of the most eager to please dogs ABR has had in rescue. He has a routine down, is crate trained, and seems to be learning something new...Read More
Ford Ford is a 1 ½ yr old male brindle boxer-mix. He was boarded at a vet clinic for about 7 months and became a little frustrated with that situation and so would like to find himself a permanent home. So far he has been very insecure around other dogs. His foster family is working with him to help regain his confidence so he can be placed in a home with other dogs. He has met a few older children and LOVES them. Because of his affectionate nature, children seem to tickle his boxer side, causing him to wiggle and wag...Read More
Mae Mae Mae Mae is a magnificent 5-6 year old white female boxer. This poor girl has had a tough life - you can see it in her eyes and in her condition. She was found as a stray in Waco and taken to the local kill shelter. We can tell from her body that she has had many litters (way too many) and has had poor nutrition and overall care. She is what we refer to as a "puppy mill mom," which means she was likely only used to breed and once she could no longer produce any more "good" litters,...Read More
Hope Hope is a wonderful fawn female rescued from a San Antonio shelter when her "family" failed to claim her. We suspect that this is not the first time that her "family" failed her, given her thin body and terrible case of demodex mange. Through it all Hope has kept her goofy boxer demeanor. She loves people and greets everyone with their signature wiggle with her tail wagging a hundred miles an hour. She is also wonderful with small children and other dogs. She has a particular liking for cats so her foster parents feel that she would do best in...Read More
Arthur and Guinevere Arthur and Guinevere is a gorgeous pair of boxers. Arthur is a fawn male with cropped ears and Guinevere is a fawn female with natural ears. These babies have had a disgusting life prior to rescue. It was so vile that they were seized for animal cruelty in a small town outside of Austin. The story goes that the male boxer was hit by a car and they former owners never took him to the vet for medical treatment. Once the animal control caught wind of the situation they seized the 2 dogs. Sadly there was not enough evidence to...Read More
