Meet Flix! Flix is a senior flashy brindle female who is looking for her permanent retirement home! Flix is currently heartworm positive and is recovering from her spay and hernia repair surgery, but is otherwise a healthy and happy girl.

Flix lives in a foster home with two other Boxers, ignores the cats in her foster home, and lives with small (human) foster siblings. Her foster mom describes her as an amazing companion. She loves to be loved and cuddled. Because she is an older lady, she is calm and not high-energy, but she still enjoys going for walks and playing outside. She is housebroken, knows a few commands - sit, shake, stay, and lay down. Flix is quite vocal for a Boxer and does bark some.

If you are looking for an easy-going, easy-to-please addition to your family, ask to meet Flix!

As part of our Silver Hearts Program there will be no adoption fee for this dog. We are looking to place older dogs in loving homes so they can enjoy the remaining years of their lives. We prefer to put older dogs directly into foster homes as this will make them more comfortable and avoid kennels. Older dogs can truly be a blessing so please take the time to consider being part of the Silver heart program. Austin Boxer Rescue is proud to be the recipient of a grant by The Boxer Rescue Foundation.

FOSTERS NEEDED
We need volunteers to help visit foster dogs until we can place them in their forever homes. Without fosters we can not accept dogs into our rescue. Please fill out our FOSTER APPLICATION if you are interested.
