Update: Cagney has been in his foster home since March, and he is doing great! Cagney loves playing with other dogs as long as they can handle is style of play, which can be a little rough, but is all in good fun. If the other dog doesn't want to play with him, he tends to bark and sound a bit scary, but this is just his masculine side coming out; he has not initiated any fights...he just wants to have fun. He should be fine in a home with another dog; they would just have to meet first to make sure they can play on an equal level.

Cagney is behaving marvelously in his foster home. His fosters have taught him what toys are for and that people's feet are not toys! He now loves his dog toys and tosses them in the air and pounces all over them! He also loves the new 8 week-old kitten in his foster house, following her all over and letting her pounce on his face. It's amazing how gentle he is with her given his size!

His health issues are much improved. He is over his complications from heartworms, and he is now giardia free. Cagney started his heartworm treatment on June 4th and will be completing treatment on July 18. He is responding very well to his treatment and has had very few side affects. This handsome guy is all set to go to his new forever home!
