HomeOUR CURRENT STATUSINTAKE IS OPENYEAR IN REVIEWWe would like to thank all of our adopters, volunteers and supporters as this has been an outstanding year for all the dogs in Austin Boxer Rescue. It is important that everyone knows we could not do this without each and every one of you! I also want to thank everyone for donating in December to give us a nice cushion to start the year off on the right foot. We were able to raise $8955, which was a little shy of our $10,000 goal but we are very grateful for everyone’s support. We hope you can see from our numbers exactly where you money is going and can continue to support ABR in the future. Thanks again! We were able to raise over $221,000 in 2011, that’s $67,000 more than 2010. This money has gone directly to help us save more dogs as you can see from the numbers below. Adopted=354 In rescue at end of year=183 Total number of ABR dogs adopted and returned to the program in 2011=27 which is approximately 4% Compare the number of dogs adopted out this year in previous years:

DOGS FOR ADOPTION
FEATURED DOG
Sam desperately needs our help! He's been in rescue for quite some time and needs to find his forever home asap. He is currently in boarding and not doing well as you can imagine being deaf. ABR is willing to place Sam in the right home as a part of our permanent foster program where there is no adoption fee. ABR will also provide continuous training for him in his new home along with a training collar. Sam is a 2-3 year old very spunky, deaf, white male boxer. He knows sit, stay, down, roll over, stand, and come. He knows to go into his crate when we tap the top of it. He has been through a lot of professional training. He also walks with a loose leash a majority of the time, and gives good eye contact on walks now. He would make a great walking or running partner! Read More Read More about her on our adoption page
WAYS TO HELPPlease consider making a charitable donation to help support us in continuing to save boxers. We are a 501c3 organization and since it's the end of the year this could be your last chance to make a donation to help you with your 2010 taxes. This year we have special packages of what your money will go towards:

Austin Boxer Rescue, located in Austin Texas, is a non-profit organization that branched off from Lone Star Boxer Rescue of Houston. ABR is made up entirely of volunteers who are dedicated to removing dogs from bad situations and placing them into loving permanent homes. We receive dogs from shelters, owners, and dogs found as strays and our volunteers take them into their homes. We do not have a shelter or a facility. Our rescued dogs are rehabilitated medically, socialized and are taught basic manners. We service Austin, San Antonio, Temple, and the surrounding areas. Thank you for your support !!! |
